Communication Cards for Kids

Keep your child's Communication Card set close at hand throughout the day. Show each card and explain its meaning, then place them somewhere easily accessible-on a table or displayed on a wall. Encourage engagement by asking questions and guiding your child toward the appropriate card.

Children learn by example, so begin using the cards in everyday situations. For instance, hold up the “I need a drink, I’m thirsty” card, say the phrase aloud while showing it, then model the action by getting a drink. Repeat this process regularly with different cards throughout the day.
